Hitachi Energy India reported strong Q2FY26 results with revenue of Rs 1,915.2 crore, up 23.3% year-on-year, driven by effective order execution. Profit after tax jumped nearly four-fold to Rs 264.4 crore (up 405.6% YoY) from a low base of Rs 52.3 crore, while profit before tax rose to Rs 352.9 crore (up 399.8% YoY). Operational EBITDA stood at Rs 291.6 crore, translating to a healthy 15.2% margin, up from 8.1% in the same quarter last year. Orders grew 13.6% YoY to Rs 2,217.1 crore, led by gas-insulated switchgear, air-insulated switchgear stations, and locomotive transformers. For the first half of FY26, revenue rose to Rs 3,435.6 crore and PAT to Rs 396 crore. The order backlog remains robust at Rs 29,412.6 crore, providing strong revenue visibility. Exports contributed 30.4% of total orders, with service orders growing 35% YoY.
Strong double-digit revenue growth, sharp profit expansion, and margin improvement signal healthy operational performance and likely positive sentiment for the stock. The large order backlog offers revenue visibility for upcoming quarters, though the very high profit growth reflects a low base effect from the prior year quarter.
