Honda India Power Products Limited held its Board Meeting on May 26, 2026, approving audited financial results for Q4 and FY ended March 31, 2026. Revenue from operations grew 9% to Rs. 86,545 lakhs from Rs. 79,423 lakhs, but profit after tax declined 20% to Rs. 6,424 lakhs from Rs. 7,994 lakhs. EPS for FY2026 stood at Rs. 63.33 versus Rs. 78.81 in FY2025. The company announced appointment of Mr. Sameer Jain as Chief Corporate Officer (effective July 1, 2026) and Whole-Time Director (effective September 1, 2026), succeeding Mr. Vinay Mittal who retires due to superannuation on September 30, 2026. The Board also recommended a final dividend of Rs. 13 per share (130%) and appointed new internal auditors (Deloitte Haskins & Sells LLP and Das Patnaik & Co).
The appointment of Sameer Jain as CCO and Whole-Time Director indicates a planned leadership transition. The profit decline despite revenue growth, partly due to Rs. 999 lakhs exceptional items from new labour code implementation, may concern investors. The 130% dividend payout provides shareholder returns.
