HPL Electric reported record Q4 FY26 revenue of ₹519.70 crore (first time crossing ₹500 crore) and FY26 revenue of ₹1,811.10 crore, up 6.52% YoY. Consumer & Industrial emerged as a second growth engine with FY26 revenue of ₹784.67 crore, up 25.62% YoY, now representing 43% of total revenue versus 37% in FY25. Wires & Cables delivered exceptional growth of 50% YoY to ₹340.74 crore, nearly doubling over three years. Smart Metering showed sequential recovery in Q4 after earlier industry-wide execution disruption, with FY26 revenue at ₹1,026.43 crore. EBITDA margin improved 56 bps to 15.54% and gross margin expanded 97 bps to 36.01%. Cash profit grew 13.43% YoY to ₹155.51 crore. Management flagged input-cost volatility affecting C&I margins and noted pricing actions taken across Wires & Cables, Lighting and Switchgear. The company has a strong order book of ₹3,200+ crore (97%+ from Smart Metering) and launched Neeram Pulse smart water meter as a strategic extension.
Strong operational performance with margin improvement and clear shift toward Consumer & Industrial as a second growth driver. However, PAT declined 2.91% due to higher depreciation from capacity additions, and C&I margin pressure from input-cost volatility may require monitoring. The ₹3,200+ crore order book provides revenue visibility.
