HPL Electric & Power Limited shared the transcript of its Q4/FY26 earnings call held on June 17, 2026. FY26 revenue crossed Rs. 1,800 crore and Q4 revenue crossed Rs. 500 crore for the first time, with EBITDA growing ahead of revenue and gross margins improving. The Consumer & Industrial (C&I) segment grew 26% to Rs. 784 crore, lifting its share of total revenue from 37% to 43%, led by wires and cables (up 50% to Rs. 340 crore). Smart metering continues to anchor the order book at over Rs. 3,200 crore (97%+ of total order book). Management indicated FY27 C&I revenue could cross Rs. 1,000 crore. C&I margins came under pressure due to higher commodity costs, but price hikes have been passed on from April-May, with management expecting margins to recover. Capex in FY27 will mainly be maintenance-led, with debt expected to remain at current levels.
Strong order book visibility (Rs. 3,200+ crore) and first-time Q4 revenue crossing Rs. 500 crore are positive signals, while the C&I margin dip due to commodity costs is a near-term watch point. Investors will track margin recovery in coming quarters and the ramp-up of the new Neeram Pulse smart water meter business.
