HPL Electric & Power Limited reported record Q4 FY26 revenue of ₹519.70 crore (first time crossing ₹500 crore) and FY26 revenue of ₹1,811.10 crore, up 6.52% YoY. Consumer & Industrial (C&I) emerged as a second growth engine with FY26 revenue of ₹784.67 crore (+25.62% YoY), now representing 43% of total revenue versus 37% in FY25. Wires & Cables delivered exceptional 50% YoY growth to ₹340.74 crore with volume growth over 40%, described as transitioning from strong growth to structural scale-up. Smart Metering showed sequential recovery in Q4 after Q1 industry-wide execution disruption, with FY26 revenue of ₹1,026.43 crore. Gross margin improved 97 bps to 36.01% and EBITDA margin expanded 56 bps to 15.54%, with management citing pricing discipline and product mix improvement as margin protection strategies. Cash profit grew 13.43% YoY to ₹155.51 crore. The company maintains a strong order book of ₹3,200+ crore primarily in Smart Metering, with FY27 focus on scaling both verticals.
Strong execution with margin expansion and dual growth engines positions HPL well for FY27; the ₹3,200+ crore order book provides near-term revenue visibility, while C&I's growing revenue share reduces concentration risk in Smart Metering.
