HUDCO, a Navratna CPSE (75% GoI owned), reported record FY26 results with net profit of Rs 4,034 crore, up 49% from Rs 2,709 crore in FY25. Loan sanctions reached highest ever at Rs 1,65,000 crore (29% growth) and disbursements at Rs 51,194 crore (28% growth). The loan book stood at Rs 1,60,724 crore. Asset quality remained pristine with Gross NPA at 1.04% and Net NPA at just 0.05%, while provision coverage was strong at 94.90%. Cost of borrowings reduced by about 19 basis points to 6.56%. EPS improved to Rs 20.15 and book value to Rs 109.78 per share. The company raised Rs 67,503 crore in borrowings and targets a Rs 3 lakh crore balance sheet by FY30.
Strong all-round performance with 49% profit growth and near-zero NPA demonstrates operational excellence. The margin compression (NIM down from 3.86% to 2.91%) is offset by massive volume growth. The company's multi-year roadmap to Rs 3 lakh crore balance sheet by 2047 and pipeline of MoUs worth over Rs 5 lakh crore with state governments provide clear growth visibility.
