Incap Ltd reported Q2 FY26 net sales of Rs 623.16 lakhs, down about 12% from Rs 708.65 lakhs in the same quarter last year. Profit after tax fell sharply to Rs 22.12 lakhs versus Rs 45.34 lakhs in Q2 FY25, a decline of roughly 51%. For the first half of FY26, revenue grew nearly 38% year-on-year to Rs 1,620 lakhs, but profit after tax slipped about 24% to Rs 52.11 lakhs, showing clear margin pressure. Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 0.58. The most worrying sign is the cash flow statement: cash generated from operations was negative at Rs -221.14 lakhs, driven mainly by a Rs 929 lakh jump in inventories, and the closing cash balance shrunk to just Rs 8.07 lakhs from Rs 306.11 lakhs at the start of the year. The statutory auditors (Umamaheswara Rao & Co.) issued a clean limited review report with no qualifications.
Shareholders should be cautious — the sharp quarterly profit drop, declining margins, and dangerously thin cash position raise concerns about short-term liquidity despite the half-year revenue growth.
