India Gelatine & Chemicals Ltd has published its unaudited Q1 FY26 financial results in Financial Express and Indian Express as required under SEBI listing rules. Total income for the quarter stood at Rs. 4,129.24 lakhs, down about 21% from Rs. 5,241.57 lakhs in the same quarter last year. Despite the revenue dip, net profit after tax jumped roughly 40.6% to Rs. 708.17 lakhs (from Rs. 503.85 lakhs YoY), and profit before tax grew about 32.8% to Rs. 884.01 lakhs. Basic and diluted EPS rose to Rs. 9.99 from Rs. 7.10 a year ago, a 40.7% increase. The board approved the results on 11 August 2025 after a limited review by statutory auditors, pointing to sharply improved profit margins even as top-line shrank.
Mixed but largely positive for shareholders — revenue contracted meaningfully year-on-year, but a sharp jump in profits and EPS signals strong margin expansion, which typically supports the stock in the short term despite the weaker topline.
