India Gelatine & Chemicals' board approved the unaudited financial results for Q3 FY26 (quarter ended December 31, 2025) and nine months of FY26. Revenue from operations for Q3 stood at Rs 4,482.69 lakh, down from Rs 5,256.12 lakh in Q3 FY25, while nine-month revenue fell to Rs 13,082.58 lakh from Rs 14,536.83 lakh. Despite the topline dip, profitability improved sharply: Q3 profit after tax nearly doubled to Rs 710.25 lakh (vs Rs 355.64 lakh), lifting EPS for the quarter to Rs 10.01 from Rs 5.01 a year ago. Nine-month PAT rose to Rs 2,062.64 lakh (EPS Rs 29.08) from Rs 1,168.26 lakh (EPS Rs 16.47), reflecting better margins and cost control. The board also appointed Mr. Valan Raja Nadar as Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel effective February 10, 2026; he brings over 23 years of finance experience. An additional Rs 38.60 lakh provision was taken toward past service cost on account of new labour codes effective November 21, 2025.
Strong earnings beat despite lower revenue signals improved operating efficiency, which is likely to be viewed positively by investors. The CFO appointment brings experienced finance leadership at a time of margin expansion, supporting near-term investor sentiment.
