Nalanda India Equity Fund Limited, a Mauritius-based foreign portfolio investor, has filed a SEBI SAST Regulation 29(2) disclosure reporting a sale of shares in IndiaMART InterMESH. The fund sold 423,115 shares (0.07% of equity) on 24 March 2026. Before the sale, Nalanda held 3,090,739 shares (5.14%); after the sale, its holding has come down to 2,667,624 shares (4.44%). The acquirer has confirmed it does not belong to the promoter/promoter group of IndiaMART. The total equity share capital of IndiaMART stands at 600,871,480 shares.
This is a minor stake trimming by a foreign institutional investor, not a promoter. The 0.07% reduction is small and unlikely to materially affect the stock price. It may be seen as a routine portfolio rebalancing, but Nalanda has now dropped below the 5% threshold, which could attract attention from passive investors tracking holdings above that mark.
