Indian Hume Pipe Company reported Q1 FY26 revenue from operations of ₹30,743 lakhs, down about 15.6% from ₹36,413 lakhs in Q1 FY25, partly because the year-ago quarter included a one-time ₹23,137 lakhs TDR-related revenue from a Pune Municipal Corporation land transfer. Construction segment revenue itself fell roughly 7.6% YoY to ₹30,743 lakhs, while no real estate revenue was booked this quarter. Net profit stood at ₹2,192 lakhs (EPS ₹4.16), down from ₹3,116 lakhs (EPS ₹5.91) a year ago, though operating margins in the construction segment improved. The auditor K. S. Aiyar & Co. issued an unmodified limited review report. The company also paid a total dividend of ₹5.80 per share (including a ₹4 special dividend) for FY25, aggregating to ₹3,055.54 lakhs, on August 5, 2025.
Core construction business revenue and profits declined YoY, but the drop looks softer once the non-recurring TDR gain from last year's base is excluded. The clean auditor report and recently paid special dividend are positives for shareholders, though the headline earnings dip and absence of fresh real estate revenue may weigh on sentiment in the near term.
