Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Limited (IMFA) has incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary named Metallix Aviation Private Limited, registered in Odisha on 23rd July 2025. The new company will operate in the aviation sector, which is outside IMFA's core ferro alloys business. IMFA will initially invest Rs. 5 crore by subscribing to 50 lakh equity shares of Rs. 10 each, with the subsidiary having an authorized share capital of Rs. 10 crore. This follows IMFA's earlier communication dated 21st May 2025 indicating plans for an aviation foray. The subsidiary is 100% owned by IMFA and will be treated as a related party once shares are allotted.
This is a small strategic diversification move into aviation, unlikely to materially impact the stock in the near term but signals IMFA's intent to expand beyond its core ferro alloys business. Investors should watch for further updates on business plans and capital deployment in this new vertical.
