Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys (IMFA) announced its audited Q4 and full-year FY25 results. Q4 FY25 revenue fell to ₹567.15 crore from ₹700.56 crore a year earlier, with EBITDA dropping sharply to ₹70.52 crore (margin 12.43%) and PAT at ₹47.07 crore. For the full year, revenue declined to ₹2,564.57 crore, but PAT actually grew to ₹378.09 crore from ₹363.69 crore in FY24, supported by strong earlier quarters. Chrome ore raising crossed 700,000 tonnes for the first time, and the company has begun a 100,000 TPA ferro chrome expansion at Kalinganagar (40% capacity addition), expected to start in Q2 FY27. Management highlighted a debt-free balance sheet, recovering ferro chrome prices, and positive US-China trade developments, with an ethanol project and 110 MW hybrid renewable energy tie-up also progressing.
Despite a weak Q4 hit by depressed ferro chrome prices, full-year profits held up and growth catalysts (Kalinganagar expansion, ethanol foray, RE power) along with improving commodity prices could support the stock, though near-term margin recovery remains the key watchpoint for investors.
