IREDA filed its investor presentation for an analyst/institutional investor meet, sharing H1FY26 (ended Sept 30, 2025) highlights. Gross Loan Portfolio grew ~31% YoY to ₹84,477 Cr, with sanctions of ₹33,148 Cr (~86% YoY) and disbursements of ₹15,043 Cr (~54% YoY). Operating Profit surged ~52% YoY to ₹1,454 Cr, though PAT grew only ~3% YoY to ₹796 Cr due to higher credit costs. Net Interest Margin improved to 1.90% (from 1.68%) as cost of funds declined to 3.65%. Net NPA stood at 1.97% on an asset base where ~84% of loans are secured and ~70% of generation projects are commissioned. The company highlighted its Navratna status, AAA/BBB credit ratings, and approval for a further primary equity raise of up to 3.76% dilution. Government of India continues to hold 71.76% of shares.
Strong loan book growth, rising sanctions pipeline and improving NIM signal business momentum, but muted PAT growth and rising slippage ratio (1.15% to 2.01%) may temper near-term optimism. Equity dilution announcement is a key watchpoint for existing shareholders.
