Indigrid Infrastructure Trust has informed the Exchange regarding Disclosure of material issue
Awaiting price reaction for this filing.
IndiGrid Infrastructure Trust has informed the exchanges about its plan to issue Series AH Non-Convertible Debt Securities worth INR 1,900 Crores. This issuance is part of the borrowing limits approved by the Board earlier — INR 7,600 Crores approved on January 23, 2025 and an additional INR 3,200 Crores approved on March 21, 2025. The debt securities are non-convertible, meaning they cannot be converted into equity shares. The filing was made by IndiGrid Investment Managers Limited, the Investment Manager of IndiGrid, in compliance with SEBI listing and InvIT regulations. The intimation is dated July 28, 2025.
The INR 1,900 Crore debt raise will increase IndiGrid's overall borrowings and could lead to higher interest expenses. Unit holders should note that debt expansion is common for InvITs funding acquisitions or growth, but higher leverage may also impact distribution levels if returns on the new debt fall short of the cost.
