IndiGrid's AUM grew to ₹32,400 crore across 22 states with 90 revenue-generating assets. In Q1 FY26, the trust acquired ReNew Surya Aayan (300 MW solar) and Koppal-Narendra Transmission (276 circuit km) for ~₹2,108 crore, and its sponsored entity EnerGrid won its first BESS project of 187.5 MW/750 MWh (4-hour storage). Q1 revenue was flat at ~₹840 crore but EBITDA dipped ~8% YoY to ~₹704 crore due to a broken Siemens turbine at the Godawari solar thermal plant (impact ~₹30 crore, now resolved) and a one-time investment management fee of ~₹12 crore on acquisitions. NDCF was ₹286 crore, DPU was raised 6.7% YoY to ₹4 per unit, in line with the ₹16 annual guidance said to be sustainable till FY32 without further acquisitions. Leverage stood at 61.2%, average cost of debt fell to 7.59% (from 7.67%), and the trust retains ~₹6,500 crore of acquisition headroom before needing equity.
Short-term EBITDA pressure from the one-off solar turbine issue and acquisition fees is clearly explained and recoverable via insurance; underlying DPU growth and full-year guidance of ₹16 remain intact, supportive for unitholders. The acquisition pipeline, falling cost of debt, and AAA rating reinforce the growth and yield story.
