Indo Count Industries has approved a brownfield expansion of its spinning facility in Alte, Kolhapur, Maharashtra. The project will increase installed capacity from 70,000 to 94,000 spindles (adding 24,000 spindles) at a cost of approximately ₹60 crore. Additionally, the company will modernize its existing spinning mill at Gokul Shirgaon, Kolhapur with an outlay of around ₹25 crore. Total capex is approximately ₹85 crore, funded by a mix of debt and internal accruals. The new capacity is expected to be operational by Q2 of FY 2027. The existing facility is currently running at 98% capacity utilization, indicating a need for expansion to meet demand.
Positive for shareholders as the expansion addresses near-full capacity utilization and signals management confidence in growth prospects. The focus on value-added products could improve margins over time.
