Indoco Remedies has sent a letter to shareholders who hold shares in physical (paper) form, asking them to update their PAN, contact details, mobile number, bank account details, and specimen signature with the company's Registrar, MUFG Intime India Private Limited. This is being done to comply with two SEBI circulars from May 2024 and June 2024 that make these KYC details mandatory for all physical shareholders. Shareholders who do not update these details will only receive dividends through electronic mode from April 1, 2024 onwards, once all required details are submitted. The letter also reminds shareholders that physical share transfers have been banned since April 1, 2019, and urges them to convert their physical shares into demat form for smoother trading and dividend credits.
This is a routine regulatory compliance communication and does not impact the company's business or stock price. Physical shareholders of Indoco Remedies should update their KYC details with the RTA promptly to avoid delays in receiving future dividends, and ideally convert their holdings to demat form.
