CRISIL Ratings has reaffirmed its highest safety rating of CRISIL AAA with a Stable outlook on Indus Infra Trust's long-term bank facilities totaling Rs. 3,000 Crore. The rated facilities include Axis Bank's long-term facility of Rs. 1,149.67 Crore, a proposed long-term bank loan of Rs. 323.33 Crore, and two Punjab National Bank term loans of Rs. 682 Crore and Rs. 845 Crore. The reaffirmation indicates CRISIL's continued view that the trust has the strongest capacity to meet its debt obligations on time. Indus Infra Trust, formerly known as Bharat Highways InvIT, is an infrastructure investment trust, and this is a routine periodic credit review rather than a rating change.
This is neutral to positive for unitholders — the AAA rating reaffirmation confirms strong creditworthiness and low refinancing risk, which supports the trust's cost of borrowing. No change in rating means no immediate impact on unit price, but it reinforces investor confidence in the trust's financial stability.
