Info Edge has received a Notice of Demand of Rs. 3,64,63,140 from the Income Tax Department for Assessment Year 2024-25 under Section 143(3) of the Income Tax Act, 1961. The demand primarily relates to disallowance of ESOP expenses claimed by the company. The company has filed an appeal before the Joint Commissioner (Appeals) challenging this order. The disclosure clarifies that similar disallowances for Assessment Years 2007-08 through 2021-22 were decided in the company's favor by the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal, though the IT department has filed appeals against some of these favorable rulings before the Delhi High Court. The company states it does not reasonably expect material financial impact from this dispute.
