Infosys Foundation, the CSR arm of Infosys, has pledged over INR 48 crore to Prashanthi Balamandira Trust to support the Sri Sathya Sai Sarla Memorial Hospital in rural Karnataka. The grant will fund advanced medical equipment for obstetrics, gynecology, NICU, PICU, ICU, radiology, and operation theatres, along with covering some operational costs. The initiative is expected to benefit more than 8,000 underprivileged women, infants, and children annually with free maternal and child healthcare services. The collaboration also supports training of undergraduate and postgraduate medical professionals, aiming to reduce maternal and infant mortality in the region.
