Inter Globe Finance Ltd has issued a public notice to its equity shareholders about the upcoming transfer of shares to the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF) Demat Account. Under IEPF Rules 2016, shares of shareholders who have not claimed dividends for 7 consecutive years are required to be transferred to the IEPF. The last date to claim the unpaid or unclaimed dividend for FY 2015-16 is April 15, 2026. The company has already contacted affected shareholders individually and uploaded the full list of such shareholders and shares due for transfer on its website (www.igfl.co.in/dividend-report.php). If no communication is received from shareholders by April 15, 2026, the company will proceed with transferring those shares to the IEPF Account as per the prescribed procedure.
Shareholders with unclaimed dividends from FY 2015-16 must claim their dividend by April 15, 2026, by contacting the company's registered office in Kolkata, or risk having their shares permanently transferred to the IEPF Authority. Even after transfer, shares and unclaimed dividends can be reclaimed from the IEPF Authority, but the process is more cumbersome.
