Interactive Financial Services reported standalone Q1 FY26 results with revenue from operations of ₹85.90 lakh, down sharply from ₹147.90 lakh in the same quarter last year (about 42% YoY decline). Total income stood at ₹152.20 lakh, boosted by other income of ₹66.40 lakh, while total expenses fell to ₹51.11 lakh from ₹97.39 lakh. The company posted a profit before tax of ₹61.87 lakh, though it recorded an exceptional item charge of ₹12.14 lakh. Profit after tax came in at ₹60.63 lakh (EPS of ₹0.875), compared to ₹202.25 lakh (EPS of ₹5.502 adjusted) in Q1 FY25. The auditor B.T. Vora & Co. issued an unqualified limited review report. The board also approved the 31st AGM notice for September 12, 2025 and the re-appointment of Managing Director Pradip Sandhir.
The sharp YoY drop in core operating revenue is a concern for shareholders, though overall profitability held up better than the previous quarter (Q4 FY25 had posted a loss). The exceptional item charge weighed on earnings, and the EPS comparison was distorted by a March 2025 rights issue. Investors should watch whether revenue recovers in coming quarters.
