The Board of Interise Investment Managers approved the audited standalone financial results of Interise Trust for the half year and year ended March 31, 2025. Revenue from operations rose to Rs. 1,514.22 crore (from Rs. 1,277.84 crore in FY24), and profit for the year grew to Rs. 510.37 crore (up from Rs. 406.50 crore, about 25.6% YoY), taking basic earnings per unit to Rs. 4.90 (vs Rs. 4.18). The Board declared a fourth distribution of Rs. 0.38 per unit (towards dividend) with record date May 24, 2025, taking total FY25 distributions to Rs. 7.35 per unit. It also approved issuance of commercial papers in one or more tranches up to Rs. 800 crore, and the re-appointment of RBSA Valuation Advisors LLP as independent valuer, alongside a revision to the distribution policy (subject to unitholder approval). The Trust continued to carry impairment losses of Rs. 105.91 crore and expected credit loss provisions of Rs. 142.86 crore, but both were lower than prior year.
Higher profit and stable quarterly distributions are positive for unitholders, while the planned Rs. 800 crore commercial paper raise signals ongoing funding/refinancing activity. Lower impairment versus last year is a mild positive, but pending arbitration matters at multiple project SPVs (BPPTPL, KWTPL, DPTPL, etc.) remain a key risk to watch.
