Interise Trust has announced that a resolution to amend the concession agreement with the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) was passed through postal ballot on May 20, 2026. The resolution received 100% approval with zero votes against it. A total of 99.65 crore units were voted out of 104.24 crore outstanding units, representing a 95.60% voter turnout. The Sponsor/Investment Manager group held 63.41 crore units (60.83%) and Foreign Portfolio Investors held 36.24 crore units (34.77%), both voting entirely in favour. The amended concession agreement requires approval from at least 60% of votes cast in favour, which was comfortably met.
The unanimous approval signals strong sponsor and institutional investor confidence in the highway infrastructure assets. This amendment to the NHAI concession agreement may reflect updated terms that could benefit the trust's asset portfolio and distributions.
