Burnpur Cement Ltd has appointed M/s. Bhagi Bhardwaj Gaur & Co., Chartered Accountants (New Delhi), as the new Statutory Auditor with effect from 10 June 2025. This appointment fills a casual vacancy caused by the resignation of the previous auditor, M/s Agarwal HP & Associates, Chartered Accountants. The new auditor will serve until the conclusion of the next Annual General Meeting and will also conduct the audit for FY 2024-25. The appointment is subject to shareholder approval in a General Meeting. The incoming firm has over 36 years of experience in audit, taxation, and corporate law matters.
The previous auditor resigned mid-term, which can sometimes raise governance concerns, though no reasons were disclosed. The replacement is a Delhi-based firm with a long track record, and shareholders will need to approve the appointment at the upcoming AGM.
