BPCL has announced key changes at the top management level effective 1st May 2025. Chairman & Managing Director Shri Krishnakumar Gopalan and Director (Marketing) Shri Sukhmal Kumar Jain have retired (superannuated) from services on 30th April 2025. To ensure continuity, the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas has given Shri Sanjay Khanna, currently Director (Refineries), the additional charge of Chairman & Managing Director. Similarly, Shri Rajkumar Dubey, Director (Human Resources), has been given additional charge of Director (Marketing). Both new charges are temporary in nature until permanent appointments are made.
Smooth transition with existing internal executives taking additional charge, so no immediate disruption expected. However, the market may watch for clarity on permanent appointments to the CMD and Director (Marketing) roles in the coming months.
