Capri Global Capital Limited (CGCL) informed the stock exchanges about changes to its credit ratings done by Acuite Ratings & Research. The agency withdrew the credit rating for the company's Commercial Paper of Rs. 100 crore at CGCL's request. Separately, the limit for Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) was significantly enhanced from Rs. 150 crore to Rs. 550 crore, carrying an AA rating with a Stable outlook. Bank loan ratings totalling Rs. 5,050 crore were also reaffirmed at AA/Stable. Overall, the company's credit profile remains strong, and it appears to be shifting its borrowing mix from short-term commercial paper toward longer-term NCD-based funding.
Positive for shareholders — the reaffirmed AA/Stable ratings and the sharply expanded NCD borrowing capacity signal strong creditworthiness and greater funding flexibility, while the shift to long-term debt improves financial stability.
