Ion Exchange filed its Q1 FY26 earnings presentation shared with analysts and institutional investors. Standalone operating income was flat at INR 5,178 Mn (up 0.3% YoY), while consolidated operating income rose 2.7% YoY to INR 5,832 Mn. Consolidated net profit grew 8% YoY to INR 484 Mn with PAT margin improving to 8.30% from 7.89%. However, consolidated operating EBITDA dipped 2.2% YoY to INR 627 Mn with margins at 10.75%. Management flagged SAP migration transition issues and delayed finalization of large engineering orders as near-term headwinds. The company disclosed an engineering order book of ~INR 26,640 Mn and a strong bid pipeline of ~INR 92,670 Mn, while the greenfield Roha resins plant is on track for Q2 FY26 commissioning.
Mixed quarter for shareholders: bottom-line growth was healthy on the back of strong other income, but core operating margins continue to face pressure from delayed project executions and one-time transition costs. The robust bid pipeline and steady chemicals segment provide comfort on medium-term growth, though execution of pending orders (UP Jal Nigam, Sri Lanka) remains the key thing to watch.
