IRB InvIT arm gets arbitral award in NHAI dispute, directed to pay

IRB InvIT Fund's subsidiary IRB Tumkur Chitradurga Tollway (IRBTC) received an arbitral award dated June 25, 2026 in its dispute with NHAI. The award directs IRBTC to pay deferred premium along with interest, as determined by NHAI within 12 weeks, with payment to follow in the next 12 weeks. The tribunal decision was by majority, not unanimous. The company states the deferred premium and interest are already accounted as a liability in the books. IRBTC plans to take further steps to protect its rights under the Concession Agreement.
