Ircon International, a Navratna railway PSU, reported its FY25 consolidated results with total income declining to Rs.11,131 crore from Rs.12,870.5 crore in FY24, a drop of about 13.5%. Profit after tax fell to Rs.727.8 crore from Rs.929.5 crore, while EBITDA margin stood at 11.46%. For Q4FY25 alone, PAT came in at Rs.211.8 crore versus Rs.246.7 crore in Q4FY24, though it showed strong sequential recovery from Rs.86.1 crore in Q3FY24. On a standalone basis, FY25 PAT was Rs.737.6 crore, down 14.5% year-on-year. The board recommended a final dividend of Re.1.00 per share, taking the total payout for the year to Rs.2.65 per share (including the Rs.1.65 interim dividend already paid). The order book stood healthy at Rs.20,347 crore as of March 31, 2025, with railways contributing Rs.15,435 crore.
The sharp year-on-year decline in revenue and profit is likely to be viewed negatively by the market, but the strong sequential Q4 improvement, healthy order book of over Rs.20,000 crore, and continued dividend offer some comfort for shareholders.
