Jammu & Kashmir Bank reported its highest ever annual profit of Rs 2,363.47 Cr for FY 2025-26, marking a 13% YoY growth from Rs 2,082.46 Cr, despite a one-time impairment provision of Rs 179 Cr on its investment in J&K Grameen Bank. The bank also posted a record Q4 profit of ~Rs 800 Cr. Net advances surged 18% YoY to Rs 122,641 Cr, total deposits rose 11.30% to Rs 165,354 Cr, and total business crossed Rs 290,341 Cr. Asset quality improved significantly with Gross NPA dropping 87 bps YoY to 2.5%, Net NPA at 0.64%, and Provision Coverage Ratio above 90%. Capital Adequacy Ratio stood at 16.55%.
Strong profit growth and improving asset quality are positive signals for shareholders, with the 18% loan book expansion indicating healthy business momentum. The one-time impairment is a minor concern but is more than offset by robust core banking performance.
