Jagran Prakashan Limited reported FY26 standalone PAT of Rs 237.41 crores, up 12.5% from Rs 211.12 crores in FY25, with EPS of Rs 10.91. Consolidated PAT nearly doubled to Rs 184.93 crores from Rs 93.93 crores, helped by significantly lower impairment charges of Rs 35.64 crores versus Rs 130.35 crores in the prior year. The company declared an interim dividend of Rs 10 per share including a special dividend of Rs 3 per share. Print advertising revenues grew modestly while radio revenues declined sharply to Rs 173.34 crores from Rs 233.47 crores. The digital business continued to be loss-making with an operating loss of Rs 14.42 crores for FY26.
The company delivered strong bottom-line growth due to reduced impairment charges, though top-line growth remains muted. The dividend declaration provides direct shareholder returns, but declining radio revenues and loss-making digital operations are concerns for long-term growth prospects.
