Jagran Prakashan Limited disclosed that two company petitions were heard before the NCLT Allahabad Bench on 13th May, 2026. The first petition (C.P. No. 64 of 2023) involves family members disputing control of the company under sections 241/242/244 of the Companies Act (oppression and mismanagement). Senior counsel for certain respondents began arguments, which will continue on 1st June 2026. The second petition (C.P. No. 57 of 2025) was also heard and re-notified to the same date. The company stated it will update shareholders only when there is a material development in the proceedings.
These are intra-family disputes within the promoter group related to company control. While no immediate operational impact is indicated, ongoing NCLT proceedings under oppression/mismanagement provisions could create uncertainty about governance and future management of the media company if unresolved.
