The Supreme Court has directed Jagran Prakashan (Dainik Jagran, Noida) to deposit within four weeks the labour court award amount for two employees, Amar Kumar Singh and Kishan Lal, to be kept in short term fixed deposits. The amount for Singh is Rs. 14.25 lakh; Kishan Lals claim is not yet quantified. The court clarified this is not a concession and has no binding effect on pending proceedings. Workmens prayer to release the amount was rejected. JPL says no material impact on business.
Small cash outflow to deposit the Singh award; Kishan Lal claim unquantified. Pending litigation continues, but company flags no material business impact.
