Jagsonpal Pharmaceuticals Limited has completed its share buyback program announced earlier. The company bought back 16 lakh equity shares (2.39% of outstanding) at Rs 250 per share for a total consideration of Rs 40 crore. The buyback was oversubscribed 3.67 times with 4,429 valid applications for 58.73 lakh shares. Large shareholders who sold include Authum Investment (2.21 lakh shares), Managing Director Manish Gupta (1.45 lakh shares), Ashoka India Equity Investment Trust (1.38 lakh shares), and Legends Global Opportunities (1.14 lakh shares). Settlement was completed on May 21, 2026, and share extinguishment will be done by June 2, 2026. Post-buyback, issued capital reduces from 6.71 crore shares to 6.55 crore shares.
The buyback returns cash to shareholders at a premium, benefiting those who tendered shares. With promoter holding increasing from 67.71% to 69.36% post-buyback, remaining public shareholders face higher concentration risk. The stock may see reduced liquidity due to lower share count.
