Jai Balaji Industries has published its Q1 FY2026 unaudited results in Financial Express, Business Standard, and Ekdin as required under SEBI listing rules. Total income from operations stood at Rs 1,373.12 crore, down about 20.5% from Rs 1,727.81 crore in the same quarter last year. Net profit after tax fell sharply to Rs 70.55 crore from Rs 208.82 crore in Q1 FY25, a drop of roughly 66%. Basic and diluted EPS declined to Rs 0.77 each (not annualised), compared to Rs 12.10 and Rs 11.76 respectively a year ago. The results were reviewed by the Audit Committee and approved by the Board on 8th August 2025; standalone and consolidated figures are identical.
The sharp year-on-year decline in both revenue and profit, along with the steep fall in EPS, signals significant pressure on the steel business and is likely to weigh negatively on the stock in the near term as investors digest the weaker-than-prior-year performance.
