Jaiprakash Power shares surge 8% after Q1 profit jumps 69%, revenue rises 12% YoY

Jaiprakash Power reported consolidated revenue of Rs 1,775.70 crore for Q1FY26, up 12.2% YoY from Rs 1,583.16 crore, with the core power segment driving growth. Net profit surged 68.6% YoY to Rs 468.84 crore, and the stock rallied 8% on the results. FIIs raised their stake to 6.75% from 6.58% QoQ, while mutual funds increased holdings to 0.48%, signalling institutional confidence.
