Jamna Auto Industries reported Q1 FY26 net sales of ₹573 crores, down 10% from the previous quarter but up about 3% year-on-year. EBITDA was ₹78 crores with a margin of 13.7%, while profit after tax stood at ₹46 crores, also down 9% QoQ. The company highlighted new business wins, including starting stabilizer bar supplies to Mahindra & Mahindra, launching a sleeper suspension product for Ashok Leyland, and signing a 3-year export deal for leaf springs and U-bolts with a European distributor. A new U-Bolt plant in Indore started commercial supply in July 2025. Management reiterated its 'Lakshya' targets of achieving 50% of revenue from new products and 50% from new markets by FY 2026-27. Industry data showed M&HCV production falling 16% QoQ and LCV production down 12% QoQ, reflecting a weak demand environment.
The sequential decline in revenue and profit reflects weakness in commercial vehicle demand, but new customer additions, product launches, and export wins point to medium-term growth levers. Investors should watch progress on the Lakshya targets and ramp-up of the new Indore plant.
