Jayaswal Neco Industries reported strong Q1 FY26 results with revenue from operations rising to Rs 1,649 crore, up from Rs 1,438 crore in the same quarter last year. EBITDA nearly doubled to Rs 319 crore, with margins expanding sharply to 19.37% from 11.79% a year ago. The company swung to a profit after tax of Rs 93.02 crore, compared to a loss of Rs 31.68 crore in Q1 FY25. Operationally, it recorded its highest-ever quarterly blast furnace production (2,11,309 MT) and highest steel dispatch (1,63,144 MT). The company also cut its secured debt by around 6% to Rs 2,557 crore, and achieved record output and dispatches from its captive Chhottedongar iron ore mines.
This is a significant turnaround story for shareholders — strong profit recovery, margin expansion, and record production suggest improving operational efficiency and pricing power. The deleveraging adds balance sheet strength, which is positive for long-term investors, though the stock may already reflect some of this optimism.
