Jewellery stock Senco Gold jumps over 6% after Q1FY27 business update

Senco Gold shares jumped over 6% after reporting a robust Q1FY27 business update with around 60% year-on-year growth in standalone revenue. Retail revenue rose 48% and same-store sales growth stood at 38%, supported by festive and wedding season demand. The company added 7 net stores to reach 208 total and plans 12-15 more openings in FY27, though it cautioned that aggressive discounting and the customs duty hike from 6% to 15% could pressure margins.
