JK Cement reported its Q2 FY26 (ended September 30, 2025) results with standalone revenue from operations at ₹2,858.51 crore versus ₹2,410.44 crore in Q2 FY25, an 18.6% year-on-year rise. Half-yearly (H1 FY26) standalone revenue grew to ₹6,048.59 crore from ₹5,069.68 crore, a 19.3% increase. Standalone profit after tax more than doubled to ₹508.26 crore in H1 FY26 from ₹238.81 crore in H1 FY25, with Q2 PAT at ₹175.78 crore versus ₹40.47 crore. Consolidated H1 FY26 revenue reached ₹6,371.73 crore and PAT was ₹483.50 crore (up from ₹320.97 crore). Despite strong earnings growth, operating margin compressed to 14.72% in H1 FY26 from 17.60% a year ago. The board also appointed Mr. Alok Dhir, a Chartered Accountant and senior insolvency/restructuring lawyer, as an Additional Non-Executive Independent Director for a five-year term. The NCLT-approved amalgamation of Toshali Cements with JK Cement became effective on October 15, 2025 (appointed date January 1, 2024), prompting restatement of prior period figures. Capacity at the Prayagraj grinding unit was expanded from 2 MTPA to 3 MTPA through debottlenecking. Statutory auditors S.R. Batliboi & Co. LLP issued an unmodified opinion with emphasis of matter on the ongoing CCI penalty litigation (₹154.92 crore) and the Toshali amalgamation accounting.
Sharp year-on-year profit growth signals operating leverage and pricing strength, but the 288 bps margin compression in H1 FY26 (from 17.60% to 14.72%) reflects higher power, fuel, and freight costs that investors should track. The completed Toshali Cements merger and Prayagraj capacity expansion should support future volumes, while the new independent director adds governance depth in restructuring matters. Overall, a positive earnings update with margin trends warranting close monitoring.
