JM Financial Limited reported consolidated total income of Rs 4,260.59 crore for FY 2025-26, down from Rs 4,452.83 crore in the previous year, representing a revenue decline of about 4%. Despite lower revenue, net profit after tax surged 52% to Rs 1,201.04 crore from Rs 773.59 crore in FY25, driven by significantly lower finance costs (Rs 999 crore vs Rs 1,305 crore) and improved operational efficiency. Standalone PAT was Rs 693.14 crore. The auditors (KKC & Associates LLP) issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on both standalone and consolidated results. The board recommended a final dividend of Rs 1.75 per share, subject to shareholder approval at the August 2026 AGM.
The strong profit growth despite revenue decline signals improved operational leverage and cost management, which could be positive for the stock. The clean audit opinion removes any audit-related concerns, while the dividend recommendation offers direct shareholder returns.
