JSW Dulux Ltd (formerly Akzo Nobel India) reported FY26 standalone net profit of Rs 19,177 million, up sharply from Rs 4,286 million in FY25, boosted by Rs 18,463 million in exceptional items primarily from the slump sale of its Powder Coatings and International Research Center divisions. Revenue from operations declined to Rs 35,992 million from Rs 40,693 million due to the divestment. The Board recommended appointing Deloitte Haskins & Sells LLP as the new statutory auditor for 5 years, succeeding Price Waterhouse Chartered Accountants LLP whose term ends at the 72nd AGM. A final dividend of Rs 50 per share was proposed, taking total FY26 dividend to Rs 206 per share (including Rs 156 special interim dividend already paid). JSW Paints acquired 61.2% stake in December 2025, making it the new promoter.
The auditor change signals fresh oversight under JSW Group's ownership. The exceptional gains inflate profits significantly, but underlying revenue decline warrants attention. The generous dividend payout (Rs 206/share vs Rs 100/share) rewards shareholders amid ownership transition.
