JSW Dulux Limited (formerly Akzo Nobel India) reported FY 2025-26 standalone net profit of Rs. 19,177 million vs Rs. 4,286 million in the prior year, boosted by an exceptional gain of Rs. 18,463 million from the slump sale of its Powder Coatings division and International Research Center. Consolidated net profit was Rs. 19,738 million. Revenue from operations declined to Rs. 35,992 million from Rs. 40,693 million, partly due to the divested businesses. The Board recommended a final dividend of Rs. 50 per share (face value Rs. 10), which together with a special interim dividend of Rs. 156 already paid, totals Rs. 206 per share for FY 2025-26 — more than double the Rs. 100 per share paid in FY 2024-25. Record date for the dividend is July 3, 2026. The company also announced a change in statutory auditors from Price Waterhouse Chartered Accountants LLP to Deloitte Haskins & Sells LLP, and the 72nd AGM will be held on July 10, 2026 via video conference.
The 106% increase in total dividend (from Rs. 100 to Rs. 206 per share) is a strong positive signal, reflecting exceptional gains from business restructuring. The JSW Group takeover in December 2025 has brought a change in control, and the company is returning significant cash to shareholders. The dividend increase and strong EPS of Rs. 433 per share (consolidated) should be viewed favorably by the market.
