JSW Infrastructure's wholly-owned subsidiary, JSW Kolkata Container Terminal Private Limited, has received permission from the Principal Commissioner of Customs (Port) to commence operations at Berth No. 7 and its Back Up Area at Netaji Subhash Dock under Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata. This follows the award of a Letter of Award (LOA) for the reconstruction and mechanization of Berths 7 and 8 under a DBFOT (Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer) arrangement via PPP mode. The concession agreement was signed in September 2025. The subsidiary can now officially start commercial operations at the berth, marking a key milestone in the project's execution.
This marks the operational launch of the Kolkata container terminal asset, which is expected to contribute to JSW Infrastructure's throughput volumes and revenue going forward. For shareholders, this signals the company is progressing from construction into the revenue-generating phase for this PPP project.
