JSW Steel reported strong Q4 FY26 results with revenue of ₹51,180 crore and adjusted EBITDA of ₹9,713 crore. FY26 normalized net profit (excluding exceptions) reached ₹8,698 crore, marking the highest ever. The company achieved significant deleveraging with Net Debt/EBITDA improving to 1.81x from 3.34x, primarily driven by the ₹29,475 crore BPSL slump sale to JSW JFE Steel Ltd. JV with JFE completed with ₹7,875 crore first tranche investment, reducing net debt by ~₹30,000 crore. New 50:50 JV with POSCO announced for 6mtpa greenfield plant in Odisha by 2031. Production guidance for FY27 set at 29.75mt with sales of 28.60mt.
Strong financial performance and aggressive deleveraging signal healthy fundamentals. The strategic JVs with global majors (JFE and POSCO) and expansion plans (50mtpa India target by FY31) position the company for growth. Shareholders should benefit from the ₹7.1 per share dividend and improved credit ratings.
