Jupiter Wagons reported a sharp decline in FY26 performance with full-year revenue falling 26% to ₹2,916 crore and PAT dropping 56% to ₹166 crore. Q4 was particularly weak — revenue down 12% quarter-on-quarter and PAT down 56% q-o-q — due to industry-wide wheelset supply shortages in H1 and LPG disruptions from geopolitical tensions affecting Q4 manufacturing. Despite this, the company ended the year with a robust order book of ₹4,675 crore and achieved a key milestone of over ₹500 crore revenue from its wheelset subsidiary (JTRF) with 16% EBITDA margins. Management also highlighted several strategic wins: a long-term supply agreement with Tatravagonka for wheelsets targeting the export market, RDSO approval for Stone India's freight brake system enabling full backward integration, a new 110 MWh BESS orderbook via Jupiter Electric Mobility, and a planned entry into the passenger mobility segment in FY27. The company targets ₹1,000 crore revenue from its battery/BESS vertical within 3-4 years.
The stock faces near-term pressure from weak FY26 earnings and margin contraction (EBITDA margin fell to 12.4% from 14.6% in FY25), but the large order book and strategic initiatives in wheelsets, BESS, and passenger mobility provide multi-year growth visibility that could support a re-rating once execution improves.
