Kabra Commercial Limited reported its Q1 FY26 unaudited results. Revenue from operations fell to Rs. 237.89 lacs from Rs. 318.73 lacs in Q1 FY25, a drop of about 25%. However, total income stayed nearly flat at Rs. 338.37 lacs versus Rs. 363.53 lacs, helped by a sharp rise in other income from Rs. 44.80 lacs to Rs. 100.48 lacs. Profit after tax declined to Rs. 49.29 lacs from Rs. 71.64 lacs (down ~31%), with EPS at Rs. 1.68 versus Rs. 2.44 earlier. The auditor's limited review report highlighted that no impairment has been provided on Rs. 2.66 crore of sundry debtors stuck in court cases for over 3 years, and flagged uncertainty about their eventual recovery. Separately, director Vedant Raj Kabra resigned citing personal reasons, effective 12 August 2025.
Core trading/coal segment revenue shrank sharply, though the bottom line was cushioned by higher other income, so profitability weakened meaningfully quarter-on-quarter. The unresolved sub-judice receivables remain a key risk — any adverse court outcome could trigger a large write-off. The director resignation is a governance event to watch, though cited as personal.
