Kabra Extrusiontechnik reported FY25 revenue of ₹4,768 Mn, down from ₹6,078 Mn in FY24, a decline of about 21.5%. Full-year EBITDA stood at ₹497 Mn with margins improving to 10.4% (up 44 basis points YoY), and Profit After Tax came in at ₹322 Mn (vs ₹338 Mn last year), with PAT margins expanding to 6.8% (up 119 bps). FY25 EPS was ₹9.21 versus ₹9.67 in FY24. The Extrusion Machinery division contributed ₹3,629 Mn while the Geon (battery pack) division contributed ₹1,270 Mn to FY25 revenue. Q4 FY25 was weaker, with revenue of ₹1,395 Mn (vs ₹1,680 Mn in Q4 FY24), EBITDA collapsing to ₹44 Mn at just 3.2% margin, though PAT held at ₹108 Mn on lower tax outflows.
Mixed bag for shareholders: full-year margins expanded despite a sharp revenue contraction, showing better cost discipline, but the steep Q4 EBITDA fall and continued weakness in the Geon EV battery business signal near-term pressure on profitability. Watch for traction in Geon's new initiatives (e-three-wheelers, battery swapping, BESS) and any improvement in extrusion demand to drive a recovery.
